Required Skills:

• Proficiency in medication administration, including IV therapy and injections
• Strong assessment skills and the ability to develop individualized treatment plans
• Leadership capability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare paraprofessionals
• Knowledge of pharmacology, wound care, and emergency response (including CPR)
• Ability to perform medical screenings, triage, and handle urgent medical or behavioral situations
• Excellent communication skills for documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient education
• Familiarity with infection control and aseptic techniques

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with correctional healthcare environments
• Skills in performing diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and specimen collection
• Knowledge of social sciences related to the correctional setting
• Ability to provide first aid and manage emergency situations effectively

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Active RN license
• Prior experience in a large medical or correctional facility preferred
• Experience with medication management and treatment protocols in a healthcare setting

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to on-call emergencies
• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and working in a secure environment
