This role offers exposure across ICU and Med-Surg LTAC settings within a collaborative, interdisciplinary care environment.

📅 Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Night Shift (3x12 | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required (LTAC ICU, Med-Surg, PCU within competency)
• Charting System: Epic (1+ year required)
• Medication System: Omnicell 

🏥 Facility Highlights

• 12-bed LTAC ICU + 31-bed Med-Surg unit
• Average census: ~25 patients
• High-acuity population: vent weaning, trach/PEG, spinal cord injuries, wound care
• Strong interdisciplinary support: PT, RT, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services 

🧠 Patient Population

• Adults & Geriatrics (18+)
• Ventilator-dependent patients
• Spinal cord injury cases
• Tracheostomy & PEG management
• Complex wound care and chronic/acute conditions 

🩺 Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year LTAC or acute care RN experience required
• Strong critical care experience preferred
• Skilled in:
  • Ventilator management & weaning
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation & cardiac monitoring
  • Tracheostomy and PEG care
  • IV therapy & central line management
  • Complex wound care
• Epic EMR experience required 

📜 Required Certifications

• ACLS – Required
• BLS – Required
• Active South Carolina RN License – Required 

💡 Key Clinical Skills

• Mechanical ventilation (ARDS, weaning protocols)
• Hemodynamic monitoring & cardiac rhythm interpretation
• IV vasopressors & critical medication titration
• Renal care (dialysis support, catheter management)
• Neuro care (CVA, TBI, stroke scale assessment)
• Infection control & isolation precautions
• Patient mobility assistance (Hoyer lift, transfers) 

⚠️ Important Submission & Compliance Requirements

• ✔ Epic experience (minimum 1 year) required
• ✔ Must be comfortable floating across ICU and Med-Surg LTAC units
• ✔ Every other weekend coverage required
• ✔ First-time travelers may be considered based on experience
• ✔ Must only perform tasks within validated competencies
• ✔ Guaranteed floating per Prisma Health system policy 

📍 Travel Radius & Local Policy

• 🚨 Travelers must live more than 100 miles to qualify for full travel status
• 📌 Candidates 90–99.9 miles are eligible at a 10% reduced rate
• 📌 Candidates 100+ miles qualify for full bill rate
