RN – Med Surg Unit Hours

• 3x12 hour shifts per week
• 3rd shift

RN – Med Surg Unit Compensation

• The pay for this position is between $48.00-52.00 an hour paid weekly
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

RN – Med Surg Unit Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, lab results, and general condition to identify any changes or potential complications.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide post-surgical care, including wound care, pain management, and helping patients recover.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Document all patient care, progress, and any changes in condition in the electronic medical record.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions when necessary.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage multiple patients effectively, ensuring urgent needs are prioritized and all patients receive appropriate care.
• Support patients and families emotionally, answering questions and providing updates on patient status.

RN – Med Surg Unit Requirements

• Licensed RN
• 3-6 months of Med Surg or Acute Care experience preferred
