Description
RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist
Location: Grants Pass, OR
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: Nights
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week night shift assignment in Grants Pass, OR. This opportunity is with a Level 3 Trauma facility utilizing EPIC charting and serving a diverse acute care patient population. The ideal candidate will be confident managing respiratory therapies, ventilator support, and emergency respiratory care in a fast-paced hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies per physician orders
• Manage and monitor ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and oxygen therapy
• Assess patient respiratory status and respond to critical changes
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis
• Support emergency response and code situations as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation in EPIC
Requirements:
• Active RRT credential required
• Active Oregon license required (or eligible for temporary Oregon license)
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Strong ventilator and critical care experience preferred
Facility Details:
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• EPIC charting system
• Night shift schedule with 36 guaranteed hours
Important Notes:
• Facility does not accept local candidates within 50 miles
• Facility may cancel up to 24 hours during 13-week assignment
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation during first work week
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
• Candidates without an Oregon license may qualify for a 90-day temporary license prior to permanent licensure approval
