Job Description

Shasta Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a per diem weekend night opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong laboratory and specimen processing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Responsibilities include specimen collection and processing, data entry, laboratory support duties, and maintaining compliance with laboratory procedures and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities Perform specimen collection and processing for laboratory analysis Conduct venipuncture and skin puncture procedures for patients of all ages Process microbiology, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, and blood bank specimens Perform clerical duties including data entry, phone communication, and filing Maintain laboratory cleanliness and supply inventory Assist with specimen transport, pathology support, and additional lab operations as needed Requirements Must meet California regulatory requirements for laboratory personnel Current California certification/license required Previous acute care laboratory experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skill
