Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position
Location

Job Summary
- Provides routine and complex nursing care independently in a medical-surgical setting.
- Demonstrates clinical awareness and manages contingencies in nursing care.
- Makes appropriate assignments and delegates tasks to other care providers.
- Utilizes the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments following protocols; monitors side effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience within the last year
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
