Description
Job Title: Telemetry Technician
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Evenings | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Every Other Weekend
Schedule: 5x8 Shifts
Job Details:
- Department: Telemetry
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry Technician experience in a hospital setting required
- Monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
- Notifying nursing staff and physicians of rhythm changes and arrhythmias
- Running and documenting EKG strips every shift and every 3 hours
- Applying/removing telemetry monitoring equipment
- Troubleshooting monitors and assisting clinical staff as needed
- Maintaining accurate patient monitoring documentation
Requirements:
- BCLS Certification Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Advanced Medical Technician program completion accepted in lieu of experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills required
