OR License - IF no Oregon License in hand, can apply for the 90 Day Oregon Emergency License Profile Review -- If candidate is recommended by our clinical team, manager will call for a phone interview. Unit ICU # of beds 5 Ratios: 1:2-3, unstable vent patients 1:1 Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Common diagnoses/Types of patients sepsis, respiratory failure, encephalopathy, DKA, COPD exacerbation, RSV/Influenza/COVID-19, occasional stable pediatric patients (mixed unit)- must be comfortable with all age populations. Experience or 'Must have' skills ventilator, drip titrations, Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips heparin, vasopressors, Bumex, insulin, sedation/analgesa. Charge Nurse/House Supervisor supervisor available 24/7, charge RN is a unit RN and takes a pt assignment Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios day shift, 1 C.N.A. for the dept. Hospitalist or Intensivist in house hospitalist in house RT in ICU 24/7 in house, we are critical access, so they service the entire hospital RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) vents, cpap/bipap, high flow n/c Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? CCU RNs read telemetry strips for med-surg pts Shifts & Scheduling 1900-0700; 3 12-hour shifts/week Weekend Requirement every other Holiday Requirement negotiable Is there a call or standby requirement? if placed on low census, expected to report within 30 minutes of call. Floating Requirements RNs not fully crosstrained to other departments are expected to assist if floating as "helping hands". May elect to fully crosstrain to other departments. Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy blue Unit/Department specific orientation 3-6 shifts, longer if needed Additional Notes Great staffing ratios and teamwork with our staff.
