Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Registered Dietician to provide nutrition assessment, patient education, and dietary management services. The Dietician will monitor food/drug interactions, collaborate with physicians regarding diet modifications, and provide follow-up nutrition care based on patient needs.
Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess patients’ nutritional needs and status
- Provide nutrition education and document patient understanding
- Review food/drug interactions and record findings
- Interview patients and families regarding dietary habits and preferences
- Interpret laboratory, physical, and social data relevant to nutrition care
- Modify patient menus as needed
- Collaborate with physicians regarding appropriate dietary plans
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Dietician experience required
- Graduate from an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition
- For Acute locations: Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
- For Post-Acute locations: NYSED “Dietitian-Nutritionist” Certification required at time of hire
