Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Assist physicians during vaginal deliveries and emergency situations
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
- Educate patients and families regarding childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with hospital policies and procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, lactation consultants, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ensure patient safety and provide compassionate, family-centered care
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
- Active NY RN License required at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred/required per facility
- NRP certification preferred/required per facility
