🏥 Facility Overview

This hospital is a nationally recognized leader in transplant and specialty surgical care, known for advanced procedures and high-quality patient outcomes.

• 13-bed Pre-Op / Day Surgery / Phase II unit
• EMR: Meditech
• Patient ratios: Pre-Op 1:1 | Phase II 3:1
• Support staff: Unit Secretary, PCA, Phlebotomy
• Floating required per facility policy 

🩺 Responsibilities

• Pre-op, Day Surgery, and Phase II recovery nursing care
• Monitor post-op patients and ensure safe discharge readiness
• Assist with anesthesia procedures (pain blocks)
• Support surgical flow and perioperative care
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR 

🎯 Required Qualifications

• Active TX RN License (no temp licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years hospital or travel RN experience
• Strong Pre-Op and Phase II recovery experience
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Strong IV skills and perioperative competency 

⭐ Preferred

• PACU experience
• Meditech experience 

🕒 Schedule

• 4x10 hour shifts
• Flexible day shift schedule
• Weekends/call discussed during interview

Experienced Pre-Op or PACU RN who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is confident managing perioperative patients with strong critical thinking and teamwork skills.
