Description

Shift: Day Shift – 5x8 (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Required Qualifications

ASCP certification
Minimum 1 year Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience
Recent Blood Bank experience REQUIRED
Experience in a community hospital clinical laboratory

Key Responsibilities

Perform generalist laboratory testing, including:
- Chemistry (cardiac enzymes, immunoassays, thyroid testing, tumor markers)
- Hematology & Coagulation (CBCs, manual diffs, platelet studies)
- Urinalysis (manual macro & microscopic)
- Immunology/Serology testing
- Limited Microbiology
Perform Blood Bank coverage
- Type & screen, crossmatches
- No antibody identification required

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENT ✅ RECENT BLOOD BANK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Candidates without recent Blood Bank experience will not be considered. This is a generalist position covering Hematology, Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Serology, and limited Microbiology, with Blood Bank responsibilities required. This facility supports a Level III Trauma program, open‑heart surgeries, two cath labs, and a high‑volume oncology clinic.
