Pay Rate: $67.78 per hour (Weekly Pay)
Assignment Dates: 06/02/2026 – 09/01/2026
Position Type: Temporary to Permanent (opportunity to extend or go permanent based on business needs)
Location: Glenwood Springs, CO 81601
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with weekend rotation
Call Requirement: Candidates must be willing to participate in call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period if requested due to staffing needs
Position Overview:
The CVICU/CCU Registered Nurse position is responsible for providing advanced critical care nursing support within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU). This role requires strong cardiovascular critical care experience, including Day 0 CVICU recovery experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment supporting complex cardiac patients.
Facility Overview:
This is an opportunity to work within a smaller independent hospital focused on providing high-quality care while helping community members remain close to home during treatment and recovery. The facility includes two Cath Labs, including one Hybrid Cath Lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in CVICU and CCU environments
- Monitor and manage critically ill cardiovascular patients
- Support immediate post-operative Day 0 CVICU recovery patients
- Collaborate with physicians, Cath Lab teams, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff
- Administer medications, treatments, and advanced cardiac interventions
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Participate in call rotation as required
- Maintain compliance with all patient safety and hospital protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of RN Critical Care experience required
- Strong CVICU skills required
- Day 0 CVICU experience required
- Active Colorado RN license in good standing required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- PALS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Experience working in high-acuity cardiovascular critical care environments preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills required

- ACLS certification (AHA)
- PALS certification (AHA)
- Skills Sheet including CVICU skills
- Nursys RN License verification
Housing Information:
Potential traveler housing may be available within walking distance of the hospital, based on availability:
- Fully furnished studio apartments available for approximately $1,790/month
- Fully furnished 1-bedroom apartments available for approximately $1,980/month
- Utilities, Wi-Fi, and onsite laundry included
- Move-in ready with no deposit required
