🏥 Unit & Role Overview
This Labor & Delivery unit provides comprehensive maternal and neonatal care, supporting patients through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
You’ll be working alongside experienced OB teams, NICU support, and interdisciplinary staff in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where your clinical skills directly impact both mother and baby outcomes.
🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Manage laboring patients from admission through delivery
- Continuous fetal monitoring & interpretation
- Assist in vaginal & C-section deliveries
- Administer medications and manage labor progression
- Provide patient education, emotional support & advocacy
- Respond to OB emergencies (hemorrhage, fetal distress, etc.)
- Coordinate care with OB, anesthesia, and neonatal teams

- Experienced L&D RN with strong clinical confidence
- Comfortable in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
- Strong in critical thinking, prioritization, and patient communication
- Flexible and adaptable to unit scheduling needs
- Team-oriented with a proactive approach to patient care
🎓 Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Active CA RN License
🧾 Schedule & Work Details
- 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 36 hours/week guaranteed
- No block scheduling – flexibility required
- Schedule based on unit needs
