Cardiology / Radiology Technologist (Cath Lab)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 07:30 – 16:00 (Flexible shift options negotiable)
Urgency: Critical Order (Level 1) | ASAP Start
Job Summary
Seeking two high-performing Radiology Technologists specializing in Interventional Cardiology and Vascular procedures. This role is central to the Cath Lab team, requiring expert-level skill in both scrubbing and circulating complex invasive cases. You will support a range of life-saving interventions, from emergency STEMI cases to elective peripheral vascular procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub & Circulate: Act as the primary technical assistant during coronary and peripheral angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and thrombectomies.
- STEMI Response: Participate in the emergency call rotation for ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) cases, requiring rapid arrival and high-pressure stabilization.
- Device Mastery: Maintain expert knowledge of specialized Cath Lab inventory, including wires, catheters, balloons, and drug-eluting stents.
- Vascular Intervention: Assist in invasive peripheral vascular procedures, including those for critical limb ischemia and venous disease.
- Radiation Safety: Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety protocols (ALARA) for the patient and the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a high-volume Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology (IR) suite.
- Technical Skills: Mastery of scrubbing and circulating cardiac/vascular cases is mandatory. Must be proficient in thrombectomy and angioplasty workflows.
- Licensure: Active New York (NY) State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Certifications: * ARRT (R) required.
- ARRT (CI) or (VI) / RCIS highly preferred.
- AHA BLS & ACLS required.
- On-Call: Mandatory STEMI call is a requirement for this position.

- Address: Ithaca, NY 14850.
- Environment: A fast-paced, high-tech environment serving the Finger Lakes region.
- Shift Note: While the standard is 07:30–16:00, the facility is open to discussing shift variations during the interview process.
- Local Policy: Travelers residing within 50 miles will receive the local rate.
