🏥 Observation Unit RN /  | 13 Weeks

📅 Assignment Details

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs/week

📍 Primary Facility
Aspirus Wausau Hospital

⏰ Shift Details
• 12 Hour Variable Shifts
• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

🔄 Float Expectations
• Float to all inpatient units as needed

📞 On Call / Low Census
• Travelers may be low censused and placed on call
• Callback minimum: 2 hours
• Contract eligible for 36 hours low census unbillable time
• If called back in, traveler receives callback pay

📋 Required Certifications
✔ WI RN License
✔ BLS
✔ ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
⚠️ EKG exam required during compliance

✅ Experience Required
• Minimum 3 years RN experience
• 1 travel assignment REQUIRED
• EPIC experience REQUIRED

🩺 Unit Information
• 8 Bed Observation Unit
• 2 RNs per shift
• Ratio: 1:4

👩‍⚕️ Patient Population
Observation/Inpatient cases including:
• Anemia
• Cellulitis
• COPD / CHF
• Dehydration
• Pre-op patients
• Urology & GI cases

💉 Drip Experience Required
Must be comfortable with:
• Cardizem
• Nitro
• Insulin
• Heparin Drips

📈 Key Expectations
• High volume admissions & discharges
• Average patient stay up to 48 hrs
• Strong tele/EKG interpretation skills required
