Job Title: Pharmacist

Location: Johnson City, NY (Onsite)

Job Type: Contract (12 Weeks)

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

• Monday to Friday: Shifts between 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM (8-hour and 12-hour shifts)
• Saturday & Sunday: Shifts between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (8-hour and 12-hour shifts)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to ensure safe, accurate, and clinically appropriate medication dispensing. The Pharmacist will be responsible for verifying prescriptions, providing patient counseling, supervising pharmacy support staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and departmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and verify physician orders and prescriptions, ensuring clinical appropriateness
• Clarify prescriptions when necessary and intervene for clinical accuracy
• Ensure all prescriptions are processed in compliance with professional, state, and federal regulations
• Provide patient counseling and medication education as required by law
• Maintain accurate controlled substance documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff during dispensing operations
• Prepare, verify, and oversee compounded medications
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records, documentation, and reports
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy OR PharmD from an accredited institution
• Active Pharmacist license in New York State OR valid NYS internship permit

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacist
• Experience with EPIC or similar pharmacy systems (preferred)
