COU - CARDIAC OBSERVATION UNIT
 

SHIFT INFO: Varies: 3 x 12s: Days (0600-1830, 0700-1930, 0800-2030)

 

Call requirements have begun and now include Saturday and Sunday. 

  • Call is on a rotational basis, approximately once every six weeks. But may be a frequent as once every 4 weeks.
  • Call includes Saturday from 0700-1700 and Sunday from 0700-1400

MUST HAVE:

RN-AZ or compact state license

ACLS

BLS

 

Will consider experience in the following areas on a case-by-case basis

PACU - ICU - TELEMETRY - CATH LAB - SURGERY CENTER


 

Description:

  • Admit patients
  • Prep patients for Cath procedures (charting pre procedure checklist, IV start, access preparation)
  • Prep patients for Cardioversions (CV),and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
  • Recover patients following Cath who had conscious sedation
  • Sedate, Circulate, and document  bedside procedures; CV & TEE
  • Discharge patients (teaching, documentation, and physical discharge)
