MRI Technologist — Travel Assignment

 

Position Overview

Advocate Health Southeast is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment serving adult and pediatric patients across emergency, inpatient, ICU, and outpatient settings.

Assignment Details

  • Position Type: Travel / Contract
  • Schedule: 12-hour Night Shifts
  • Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Contract Dates: June 22 – September 19, 2026
  • Location: Onsite – Charlotte, NC
  • Department: MRI / Radiology
  • Facility: CMC Main

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures for adult and pediatric patients
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume imaging department
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure patient safety and quality imaging standards
  • Support emergency, inpatient, ICU, and outpatient imaging needs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
  • ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification
  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

First-time travelers accepted

Equipment & Technology

  • EMR: Epic
  • MRI Equipment: Siemens 1.5T magnets

Scheduling & Call

  • Fixed shift assignment (no rotating between days/weekends)
  • Fair rotational call schedule shared among staff and travelers
  • Holiday coverage expected unless approved in advance
  • 13-week consistent scheduling cycle
