Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN Manager to lead and support a dynamic women’s services department within Adventist Health. This role requires a strong clinical L&D background combined with extensive leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in maternal-child nursing operations, staff leadership, patient safety, and interdisciplinary coordination.

📋 Job Details

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 26 weeks
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts
Shift: Days (with visibility/support for evening staff)
Hours: 40/week
Weekend Call: Every 3rd weekend

🩺 Leadership Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the Labor & Delivery department
Coordinate patient care delivery and staffing workflows
Support quality, safety, and patient-centered care initiatives
Collaborate with physicians, leadership teams, and interdisciplinary staff
Assist with discharge planning and continuity of care
Mentor, supervise, and support nursing staff development
Promote a safe, healing, and compliant patient care environment

🧠 Requirements (Strict)

Must have Labor & Delivery background
Minimum 10 years leadership experience REQUIRED
Strong operational and clinical leadership skills
Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred

✅ Certifications Required

BLS
NRP
EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

📜 License Requirement

Active RN License in California REQUIRED

🎓 Preferred Qualifications

BSN preferred
Acute care leadership experience preferred
