Assignment Type: Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Travel Sonographer (Breast Imaging)
Setting: Outpatient Breast Imaging Department – Diagnostic & Breast Ultrasound
Start Date: June 22nd
Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: 8-hour day shifts
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm — no weekends, no major holidays
Weekly Estimated Travel Rate: $2,900
Local Rate: $64/hour
Patient Volume: Approximately 40–50 ultrasounds per day across the department (about 10–12 per sonographer)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Breast Ultrasound experience required
- Current ARDMS certification in Breast Imaging required
- Strong experience in diagnostic breast ultrasound required
- Outpatient imaging experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume breast imaging environment required
- Strong communication, accuracy, and patient care skills required
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality breast and diagnostic ultrasound examinations in an outpatient breast imaging center
- Ensure accurate image acquisition for radiologist interpretation in a fast-paced setting
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during breast imaging procedures
- Manage daily ultrasound workload efficiently within a high-volume department
- Collaborate with radiologists and imaging staff to support accurate and timely diagnoses
- Maintain proper documentation and adhere to outpatient imaging protocols and safety standards
- Support smooth workflow in a busy breast imaging department
