Position Details
- Position: School Psychologist
- Location: Seaside School District – Seaside, OR
- Schedule: 20 hours per week
- Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm or 7:30am–4:00pm
- School Year Dates: August 24, 2026 – June 10, 2027
- Hybrid Option Available
- Must complete testing and student observations in-person
- Opportunity to combine with additional NWRESD openings to create a larger FTE (.9-1.0)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations for eligibility
- Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
- Participate in Manifestation Determination meetings
- Assist with crisis planning
- Administer diagnostic and curriculum-based assessments
- Conduct intelligence and academic testing
- Observe students in academic and social settings
- Provide consultation services to families and school staff
- Support IEP planning and recommendations
Team Environment
- Collaborate with one additional School Psychologist
- ASD evaluations completed as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside an SLP and ASD Consultant
- Strong supportive team culture with collaboration encouraged
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology
- Active Oregon TSPC license required
- Minimum of 2 years of school psychologist experience preferred
- Experience working in rural communities preferred
- Familiarity with the PSW model for SLD identification
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
