Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights
Location: Staunton
Start Dates: 5/25 or 6/10
Duration: 17 Weeks
Schedule: 4x12 Nights (48 hours/week)
Estimated Weekly Pay: Up to $3,014/week*
We are seeking experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurses for a long-term travel opportunity in Virginia working with children and adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Candidates must be comfortable working with pediatric and adolescent patients experiencing severe behavioral and mental health conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, autism spectrum disorder, and substance abuse disorders.
Assignment Details:
- 17-week contract
- Night shift
- 48 hours/week (4x12s)
- Extension opportunities available
- Credentialing timeline: approximately 7 days
Patient Population:
- Children and pre-adolescents up to age 14
- Adolescents ages 13–17
Requirements:
- Active RN License (Virginia or Compact)
- AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health/Psych experience required
- Minimum 1 year of Pediatric Psych experience preferred
- MUST have adolescent behavioral health experience
Ideal Candidate Experience:
Candidates should have experience caring for patients with:
- Severe depression
- Bipolar disorder
- Mood disorders
- Suicidal ideation/self-harm behaviors
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Drug and alcohol abuse disorders
- Behavioral crises and psychiatric emergencies
Additional Information:
- No holiday RTO accepted
- RTO over 3 days will be added to the end of the contract
- OT opportunities may be available based on staffing needs
- COVID vaccine exemptions accepted
Dress Code:
- RNs may wear any scrub color
- No hoodies, sweatshirts, or long nails permitted on the unit
