Location: Shreveport, LA 71103
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift – 8 Hours, Monday–Friday (06:30 AM – 03:00 PM)

Job Summary:
This role functions as a leader in patient care delivery utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, delegates responsibilities appropriately, and supports quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Requirements:

• Current RN License in state of practice
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Registered Nurse Diploma required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Experience maintaining confidential information
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Basic computer skills required

• Good judgment and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Duties:

• Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process
• Assess learning needs and provide patient/family education
• Delegate and manage nursing team resources appropriately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Promote patient satisfaction and team morale
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Heavy work environment requiring frequent standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials possible
• Must be able to function effectively in a surgical healthcare environment
