o Beds: 24
§ Census 18-20/day
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years in Psych nursing
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
· Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Adults 18+ - Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Suicidal Ideation,
· Patient Ratios:
o RN: 1:6
· Required Licensure & Certifications:
o BLS, CPI
· Skills required:
o Ability to provide direct and indirect patient care, strong interpersonal and de-escalation communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, solid written and oral communication skills, ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels.
o De-escalation, experience with physical restraints, medical restraints, medication passes, comfortability to run groups (not required), documentation.
o May have patients who are recently Postpartum, if they have compounding psych diagnoses requiring inpatient treatment.
o Open Day room unit – all dx – not a designated detox center, but some people are naturally detoxing.

Duties – provides patient care to psychiatric patients as directed by a RN and according to the plan established by the treatment team. Develops therapeutic relationships with patients and family members through participation in department and team treatment programs.
