Description
RN – Cath Lab Travel Assignment | Newton, NJ
Location: Newton Medical Center – Newton, New Jersey
Schedule: 4 Days/Week | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
On-Call Requirement: STEMI call requirement of 10–12 shifts per month, including 1–2 weekends (Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric populations
- Deliver direct patient care in support of Cath Lab procedures and perioperative services
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to emergencies and procedural complications
- Maintain complete and accurate nursing documentation and patient education records
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments and education
- Demonstrate competency with emergency equipment, procedural protocols, and patient safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, hospital policies, and National Patient Safety Goals
- Prioritize patient care needs and adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
Requirements:
- Active RN License required
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
