Need Specifics:  Looking for a MOBILE Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Monday to Thursday up to 10 hours per day. Candidate may work Fridays if they need to get to 40 hours for the week, but 40 hours per week will be the max! Typical start time is 6am. 5am start time every other Monday. No call, weekends, or holidays. We are seeking a Mobile Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a dynamic outreach team providing mobile nuclear cardiology services. This position offers a unique opportunity to work independently while traveling to various outreach locations alongside a dedicated CDL driver. The technologist will perform nuclear stress testing on a mobile imaging unit, with an average of up to 5 patients per day. After returning to the heart center, the technologist will process images and complete reporting in Lumedx (PACS) and Epic. Current equipment includes a Siemens Ecam camera, with plans to transition to a CardioMD system in the near future.
Key Responsibilities : Perform daily quality control on imaging equipment and dose calibrators Conduct nuclear stress testing procedures using radioactive materials Perform IV starts and administer radiopharmaceuticals using proper injection techniques Process and review diagnostic images to ensure high-quality studies Complete patient documentation and reporting in PACS/Epic systems Maintain radiation safety standards and practice ALARA principles Troubleshoot issues on the road involving equipment, technical systems, or the vehicle Maintain compliance with departmental policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures Support a positive team environment through strong communication and collaboration
Additional Duties : Prepare and administer I-131 thyroid therapies Monitor and review calibration data for quality assurance Order and manage radioactive materials and department supplies Assist with patient transport and positioning as needed Provide training and guidance to new employees when appropriate

Requirements: ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required at submission Kansas Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) required Current AHA BLS certification required Valid driver’s license with clean MVR required Ability to travel to outreach locations Ability to operate or obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months preferred
Preferred Qualifications : Associate’s degree preferred CDL license preferred
Physical Requirements : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to assist and lift/move patients as needed Ability to work in both hospital and mobile environments This role is ideal for a technologist who enjoys autonomy, travel, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional patient care in a mobile healthcare setting.
