Description
RRT opportunity available at a large teaching Level 1 Trauma facility. Candidates must be comfortable working across ICUs and floors in a high-acuity environment and may occasionally precept respiratory therapy students.
Position Details:
- Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- Holidays: Some required
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- First-time travelers accepted: Yes
- Block scheduling: Not available
- Floating: Yes, within scope to ICUs and floors
- Local Radius Rule: 75 miles
- Pending Missouri License accepted: Yes
- RTO Restriction: No more than 7 days during the contract
- Travel experience required: No
- Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks may be canceled, based on assigned shift length
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- RRT credentials required
- Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License required
- BLS required
- Epic experience required
Strongly Preferred:
- Active AARC membership
- Bachelor’s degree (or actively pursuing one)
Required Clinical Skills:
Airway Management / Suctioning:
- Endotracheal tube suctioning
- Extubation
- Nasal airway suctioning
- Oral airway placement and suctioning
- Oropharyngeal suctioning
- Sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy suctioning
