RRT opportunity available at a large teaching Level 1 Trauma facility. Candidates must be comfortable working across ICUs and floors in a high-acuity environment and may occasionally precept respiratory therapy students.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Holidays: Some required
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• First-time travelers accepted: Yes
• Block scheduling: Not available
• Floating: Yes, within scope to ICUs and floors
• Local Radius Rule: 75 miles
• Pending Missouri License accepted: Yes
• RTO Restriction: No more than 7 days during the contract
• Travel experience required: No
• Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks may be canceled, based on assigned shift length

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• RRT credentials required
• Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License required
• BLS required
• Epic experience required

Strongly Preferred:

• Active AARC membership
• Bachelor’s degree (or actively pursuing one)

Airway Management / Suctioning:

• Endotracheal tube suctioning
• Extubation
• Nasal airway suctioning
• Oral airway placement and suctioning
• Oropharyngeal suctioning
• Sputum specimen collection
• Tracheostomy suctioning
