Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU/Telemetry for a long-term travel assignment at Akron Campus. The ideal candidate will have strong Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care experience, excellent patient assessment skills, and recent Epic charting experience.
 

Requirements

• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical (MS) experience required
• Previous PCU/Telemetry experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience within the last year is mandatory and must be clearly listed on the resume
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE
• Floating to other units as needed is required
• No block scheduling requests accepted

Certifications Required

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Certification

Important Submission Guidelines

• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at the time of application
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed during the assignment
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Candidates requesting block schedules or exceeding RTO limits will be automatically rejected

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU/Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to acute patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Float to other appropriate units when required
