👶 Unit Overview

This Pediatric ICU (PICU) provides care for critically ill infants, children, and young adults requiring advanced life support and continuous monitoring. Nurses work alongside a strong interdisciplinary team in a world-renowned teaching hospital setting.

🩺 Key Clinical Experience Required

• Minimum 18 months of pediatric nursing experience (mandatory)
• Strong PICU or pediatric critical care background preferred
• Experience with:
  • Inotropes & vasoactive drips
  • ECG rhythm interpretation
  • Epilepsy monitoring / neuro-critical care (preferred)
  • High-acuity pediatric ICU care 

🏥 Facility Type & Environment

• Teaching Hospital / Academic Medical Center
• Level I Trauma Center environment
• High-acuity pediatric specialty care unit
• Strong interdisciplinary support teams
• Advanced monitoring and critical care technology 

📋 Requirements

• Active OH RN License or Compact RN License (in hand at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or Red Cross required)
• NIHSS preferred
• Must pass:
  • ECG rhythm recognition exam
  • SafeMedicate assessment during orientation 

⏰ Scheduling Details

• Night Shift: 3x12 (19:00 – 07:30)
• Must work every other holiday
• No block scheduling
