Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic treatments to patients, helping them achieve maximum independence and functionality in daily life. This role focuses on enabling patients to use learned skills effectively within their community and personal environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide consultation on environmental design, adaptive equipment, positioning, and splinting.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and reports.
• Design and administer therapy programs to improve strength, coordination, and self-care skills.
• Train patients in adaptive techniques for daily living and use of prosthetic devices.
• Deliver therapy for neurological integration, sensor-motor treatment, and perceptual-motor remediation.
• Administer treatment for orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, and balance disorders.
• Educate patients and families on prevention therapy, energy conservation, and safe transfer techniques.
• Prepare patients for vocational reintegration through tailored programs.
• Conduct home assessments and design home-based therapy programs.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and staff meetings.
• Perform related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
• Current valid WA state Occupational Therapist license (or in process of obtaining).
• One year of experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Skills & Abilities

• Language Skills: Strong ability to read, analyze, and present technical and professional information.
• Mathematical Skills: Competence with ratios, percentages, and statistical concepts.
• Reasoning Ability: Skilled in problem-solving and interpreting varied instructions.
