  • Duration: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Day Shift (5x8 | 07:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Weekend Requirement: None
  • On-Call: Not required
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to like units

🧠 Unit Highlights

  • Patient Population: Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal, Geriatric, Behavioral Health
  • Daily Census: ~150 patients
  • Average Visits/Day: ~8
  • Advanced wound care, ostomy, and complex skin integrity cases
  • NPWT (Wound Vac) and specialty wound management services 

 

🩺 Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years Wound Care RN experience required
  • Strong experience with:
    • Wound vac (NPWT) therapy
    • Pressure injury staging (I–IV)
    • Ostomy care (colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy)
    • Fistula and traumatic wound management
    • Infection control and patient/family education 

 

📜 Required Certifications

  • BLS (AHA) – Required
  • WOCN Certification – Required
    • (Continence certification NOT required) 

 

💡 Preferred Skills

  • Pediatric wound care experience
  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy exposure
  • Advanced debridement techniques (enzymatic, electrical, mechanical)
  • Skin substitutes and ABI assessments
  • Ileal pouch and complex ostomy management
