Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Occupational Therapist in the South Holland, IL.
 
PediaStaff is a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and educational staffing solutions, connecting passionate professionals with rewarding school-based and clinic opportunities since 2004. We're currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($55-$60/hour-based on experience) to support students ages 3yr olds-2nd grade with higher needs in the South Holland, IL for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications: 

• Master's Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy through an accredited program
• IL license to practice as an OTR
• Previous experience with a high needs caseload preferred, especially working with kids that have externalizing behaviors

Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:   

• Schedule:  Full time
• Dates:  August 17, 2026-June 1, 2027
• Hours:     8a-3p, 32.5 billable hours per week
• Setting:  school based
• Caseload: ages 3yr old - 2nd graders with cognitive disabilities; adding 2 new OT's to the team/mentorship
• In-person only

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
