Description
- Position: Interventional Radiology Tech (IR Tech)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Location: Richmond, VA
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, drain insertions, angiograms, peripheral vascular procedures, and line placements.
- Support imaging-related procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, CT coronary, MRI monitoring, and myelograms.
- Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile technique, and ensure equipment readiness during cases.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and assist with moderate sedation.
- Participate in on-call coverage, including weekday night call and rotating weekend call.
Required Skills:
- Critical care experience.
- Procedural area/interventional radiology experience.
- Experience with moderate sedation.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Preferred: PALS and MEDITECH experience.
