Ultrasound Tech – Travel Assignment
Charting Experience
- Epic experience REQUIRED
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2+ years experience REQUIRED
- Strong OB experience REQUIRED
- 1st, 2nd & 3rd trimester OB
- Travel experience REQUIRED
- Experience with:
- Pylorus
- Appendix
- Possible fetal brain from NICU
Float Requirements
Traveler may be required to float to:
- Aspirus Merrill
- Antigo
- Medford
- Stanley
Required Certifications
- ARDMS certified in:
- OB/GYN
- ABD
- AHA or ARC BLS

Facility: Aspirus Wausau Hospital
- Approx. 250-bed hospital
- Level II Trauma Center
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Shift Details
- Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- On-Call: Saturday Night
Orientation Schedule
First couple weeks the contract sonographer would be scheduled 8-hour shifts (M–F) during day shift hours to become acclimated to the department, protocols, and facility before moving to weekend 12-hour shifts.
Important Notes
- Every weekend schedule — NO WEEKEND RTO
- If a holiday falls on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, traveler will be expected to work their normal scheduled shift
- Travelers may be placed on call during low census hours
- Call back pay applicable if called in

Unit Overview
- 4 Ultrasound Units (Philips EPIQ Elites)
- Hospital setting licensed for 300 beds
- Approximately 10–12 exams per day
Department Notes
- Separate Echo/Vascular department
- No DVT exams performed
- Separate Breast Health Center
- Breast ultrasounds not performed in this department
- Separate from IR
- No US guided procedures except HSG’s
Case Types
Perform general ultrasound exams including:
- Abdomen
- Small Parts
- GYN
- OB
- Fetal Anatomy Scans
Strong OB emphasis preferred.
