Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: School Physical Therapist in the Tacoma, Washington area.
 
PediaStaff is a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and educational staffing solutions, connecting passionate professionals with rewarding school-based and clinic opportunities since 2004. We're currently seeking dedicated School Physical Therapist ($53-$60 an hour) to support students in the Tacoma, WA area for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications: 

• Must hold at least a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
• WA state license and ESA certification are required

Job Details:    

• Schedule:  M-F, 37.5 hours per week
• Dates:  9/2-6/16
• Setting:  Caseload will be determined during interview process- Float position
• In-person only

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assess students’ gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, and functional physical abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs, supporting mobility, access to the school environment, and participation in educational activities.
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments that promote students’ physical access, safety, and independence.
• Contribute to the development of IEPs by providing recommendations related to physical development, mobility needs, positioning, equipment, and appropriate accommodations or modifications.
