Unit Notes

- Unit/ NICU Level: NICU acute care nursery - Ingrid Rodriguez - level not specified - 

# beds: 4 beds - only 2 nurses scheduled per shift - 

Certs: BLS, NRP required - 

Ratios: 1 to 3 at the max - 

EMR: Cerner - 

Charge Nurse: No - 

Nurse Aides: No - 

Weekend Requirement: every other - Holidays: they will work in with perm staff rotatioon -

 Scrub Color: provided - 

Tele/Monitor tech: Phillips - 

Vents: vented patients will be stabilized and transferred - Neonatologist in house: 

on call 24/7 - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: yes - neonatal RT - Pharmacy 24/7: No - use marian for after hours after 10pm - 

Shifts: 12 hr shifts 6-6 - Floating: experience with attending deliveries is REQUIRED, NICU nurses don't float, expectation is that they work the NICU (nursery) and attend deliveries but it is not considered 'floating' - Floor specific orientation: 2 shifts - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: 34 weeks and above, bubble cpap, TPN, IV and oxygen therapy, feeders and growers mostly - Additional Notes: Must have at least 2 years of experience and level 2 NICU experience or above. Manager has specifically stated that this is not your average NICU.
