Type of Patients on Unit: Med/Surg Patients

Weekend Hours: As required by facility/every other weekend

Call Requirements: None

Float Requirements: May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs

Number of Beds: 15 currently; 15 beds under construction

Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 on days 1:6-7 on nights. We do not guarantee ratios. Careful consideration is given depending on the circumstance

Equipment: Nova Meters for Blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine

EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

1-2YRS+ Exp Working in Specialty 

1-2YRS+ Exp Working Only in Acute Care Setting 

ACTIVE BLS (AHA)

ACTIVE ACLS (AHA)

Facility Guidelines:

Flexible Guaranteed Hours - 36 or 48 hours - must be listed on submission form

Blocked Scheduling (no specific days) may be approved based on facility requirements - must be listed on submission form

RTO of 5 days or less, must make up the week on the back end

Holiday RTO – can request only 1 per assignment

Auto Offers are contingent upon facility approval. Offer may be retracted within 48 hours by the facility.

Night shift orients on day shift. Traveler must be available the entire week for orientation.
