Certified Surgical Technologist (OB Tech) - PART TIME
Location: Portland, OR 97213
Unit: OB Tech / Labor & Delivery
Start Date: 06/08/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days – 2x12 Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Employment Type: Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced OB Tech/Certified Surgical Technologist for the Labor & Delivery unit. The CST for a hospital will assist with obstetrical and gynecological surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique and supporting patient care within the OR setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurses during OB and surgical procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments
- Support C-sections and gynecological surgeries
- Ensure sterilization and disinfection of surgical equipment
- Assist with patient positioning and room preparation
- Float within scope of practice as needed
- Opportunity to cross-train in unit secretary duties if interested
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Surgical Tech experience
- NBSTSA Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- Labor & Delivery or OB Tech experience preferred
- Experience with C-sections and gynecological procedures preferred
Preferred Skills:
- C-sections
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
- Bilateral tubal ligation
- Vaginal hysterectomy
- Laparoscopic gynecological procedures
- Sterilization and disinfection techniques
Additional Information:
