Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Travel/Contract)

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Shift: Night, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit during night shifts.
• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio.
• Minimum 18 months of total travel nursing experience.
• At least 18 months (1.5 years) of recent Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross accepted.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or American Red Cross accepted.
• Pass/Fail testing for medication administration and ECG interpretation required at orientation.
• Other certifications (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) are not required for this position.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam confirming ability to perform essential job functions safely.
• Annual fit mask testing (N95).
• Immunizations and titers as listed above with no declinations except approved medical/religious exemptions submitted and approved through agency process.
• Annual flu vaccination required during flu season with no declinations accepted.
• Negative drug screen within 12 months.

Additional Requirements

• Must complete all facility-specific onboarding modules and training prior to start.
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; results must be on file prior to contract extension.
• Candidates may start with fingerprint results pending if fingerprinting is completed before start date.
• Must carry government-issued photo ID at all times during assignment.
• Must complete and submit employment application including 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area.
• Must complete annual skills checklist.

Notes

• Candidates with a break in employment longer than 6 months at this facility may be required to retake onboarding modules and competency exams.
• Candidates with name changes must ensure all documentation matches legal name.
• Legacy candidates or agency flips with less than 6 months gap may be exempt from some orientation requirements.
