Radius Rule: Contractors must live outside a 50 mile radius.



Contract Length: 8 weeks
Start Date: 7/6/26
Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36


Shift Requirements: 12 hour days 7a-730p Fri-Sun
Float Requirements: other general west side units (2W Hospice/Oncology, 4W Neuro EENT, 5 West, and 8 West)
On Call/Call-Back: Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours
Weekend/Holiday: Every weekend and holidays as needed

Required Certifications: AHA or ARC BLS, NIHSS and MN RN licensure
Minimum Experience: 2+ year Med Surg experience with at least 1 travel assignment.
Charting/Equipment: Epic preferred
Unit overview: Med Surg- 40 bed unit. Adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions requiring hospitalization. Common case types include respiratory illnesses (e.g., pneumonia, COPD exacerbation), endocrine disorders (e.g., diabetes complications), gastrointestinal conditions, infections, renal disorders, electrolyte imbalances, and general medical/surgical recovery requiring ongoing monitoring and interdisciplinary care.
Patient ratios: 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights

Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours

During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.
