Description
Position: Physical Therapist -Inpatient
Location: Santa Rosa, CA 95405
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Start: 06/08/2026
Job Type: 13 weeks Contract
Note: Local pay range for local therapists is $55/hour – $60/hour.
Job Overview:
The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for evaluating and treating patients in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The PT develops individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Patients may include those recovering from surgery, stroke, injury, neurological conditions, or other physical impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients with mobility or physical limitations
- Create individualized treatment plans
- Help patients recover strength, balance, and movement
- Provide gait training, transfer training, and therapeutic exercises
- Work with post-surgery, stroke, neuro, trauma, or orthopedic patients
- Document patient progress and treatment plans
- Coordinate care with doctors, nurses, OT, and speech therapists
Educate patients and families on recovery and home exercises
Required Qualifications:
- CA Physical Therapist License
1 year of acute care hospital Physical therapy experience
