Description

Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)is the shift for this role. The Job Description:POSITION: RN PCU General Medicine PCU SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING ============================== • Shift hours : 3x12s 645p-715a **4x12s available by request** • Charting: EPIC experience required • Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block • RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission. • Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks • Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes • Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes locals accepted. Refer to Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria. REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS ======================= • ACLS / BLS / NIHSS • Pending License Accepted: Yes only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license. REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS ======================== • Experience in Tele PCU DOU IMC and stepdown settings • Proficient in cardiac monitoring emergency response interpretation and management of dysrhythmias use of Rapid Response and Code teams and administration of cardiac drips Cardizem Heparin Insulin low-dose dopamine/dobutamine Amiodarone Nitro Bumex Lasix with no titration • IV therapy phlebotomy blood product administration and central/peripheral line care • Competency in chest tubes trach care PICC line management and medication administration • Respiratory skills nasal cannula oxygen administration CPAP BiPAP and non-invasive airway management UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING ========================== • Ratios: 1:4–5 Goal ratio is 4:1 mostly 5:1 • 25-bed Medical Unit with Internal Medicine Physicians and Residents Specializes in the care of acutely and chronically ill adults with a wide range of complex medical diagnoses • Telemetry is remote but monitors remain on the unit. Tele-sitting is implemented to provide additional Patient Care Tech support. • Floating: Will be required to float within skillset. to other PCUs and potentially MS
