Job Description: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Position Overview
A Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a high-performing diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of recent nuclear medicine experience and be proficient in performing a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Schedule
- 40 hours/week guaranteed
- Rotating call required (minimal)
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NM state license required
- Experience with IV starts and phlebotomy required
- PACS experience required
- Cerner charting experience preferred/required
- No local candidates within 100 miles
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Conduct imaging studies including:
- SPECT/CT
- PET/CT
- Cardiac studies
- Bone scans
- Thyroid studies
- Oncology imaging
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Start IVs and perform phlebotomy as needed for imaging procedures
- Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and education prior to exams
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Cerner EMR and PACS systems
- Follow radiation safety standards and hospital policies at all times
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care
- Participate in rotating call coverage as assigned
