Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a fast-paced surgical team at a short-term acute care facility. The ideal candidate will have strong perioperative nursing experience and demonstrate competency across multiple surgical specialties.
Position Details
- Position: Travel OR RN
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
- Total Staff Beds: 61
- Expected Ratios: 1:1
- Floating Between Units: No
- Block Scheduling: Not required
- 48 Hours Approved: No
Schedule & Call Requirements
- Weekend Requirement: None
- On-Call Requirement:
- 1–2 weekday call shifts
- 1–2 weekend call shifts per month
Required Experience & Skills
Candidates must have recent Operating Room nursing experience with strong knowledge and clinical skills in:
- Orthopedic surgery
- General surgery
- Gynecological surgery
- Podiatry procedures
Additional Information
- Scrub Color: Navy blue for all RNs
- Parking: Free parking available in any unrestricted space
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred (if applicable per facility requirements)
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic surgical environment
