Position Title: Travel Registered Nurse – CVICU / CTVICU
Department: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Shift: Contract Assignment (36 or 48 hrs/week)
Contract Length: Minimum 10 weeks
Facility Type: Level I Trauma | Teaching Hospital | Children’s Hospital | Short-Term Acute Care

Position Overview
Seeking an experienced CVICU/CTVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity critical care for post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and teaching hospital environment. Candidates must be comfortable managing advanced cardiac support devices and complex ICU patient populations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience required
- CVICU experience preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
- Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- Pending state license accepted
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Religious and medical exemptions accepted with completed exemption documentation

Scheduling & Float Requirements
- Weekend rotation as needed
- No on-call requirement

- Block scheduling not guaranteed
Additional Details
- No local candidates within 100 miles
- RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
- Facility may call off up to 3 shifts during a 13-week assignment
- OT paid after 48 hours for contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
- Travelers completing 4 consecutive assignments or 1 year of service must take a 6-month break before returning
