Description
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced IR Tech with vascular and neurointerventional experience to support a high-volume Interventional Radiology department in a Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma facility. The technologist will assist with advanced IR procedures, patient care, and on-call responsibilities in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Schedule:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 4x10s
- Shift Timing: 07:30 AM – 06:00 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Yes (Every Other Weekend)
- On-Call Requirement: Yes
On-Call Details:
- Weekdays: On-call begins at 5:00 PM regardless of scheduled workday or off day
- Weekends: 24-hour on-call coverage on Saturday and Sunday every other weekend
- Holidays: 24-hour on-call coverage required for recognized holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with interventional radiology and vascular procedures
- Support stroke interventions, thrombectomies, angiograms, ablations, and oncology procedures
- Prepare and monitor patients during IR procedures
- Operate imaging equipment and maintain accurate documentation
- Float within scope to support departmental needs if required
Required Skills:
- Vascular IR experience required
- PACS, contrast, biopsy, angioplasty, angiogram, and stent experience
- Experience with thrombectomy, neuro studies, peripheral studies, nephrograms, and kyphoplasty
- Stroke thrombectomy IR experience required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year IR Tech experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
- Active ARRT Certification required
- Active BLS Certification required
- Active Florida License required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

- Total Beds: 615
- Unit: 4 IR procedure rooms (3 biplane rooms)
- Equipment: Siemens and Client imaging systems
- Daily Caseload: 20–30 cases per tech
