Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry unit. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced inpatient environment, including telemetry monitoring and general medical-surgical cases. This role requires flexibility to float across multiple units and the ability to work effectively in a correctional healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in MS/Tele inpatient units
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond to patient condition changes
• Float as needed to other Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, forensic, and inpatient units
• Deliver safe, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, including incarcerated individuals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and facility policies

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
  • MAB (Management of Assaultive Behavior) accepted in lieu of CPI

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent MS/Tele nursing experience required
• Must be comfortable working in correctional/prison healthcare settings
• Experience floating to multiple inpatient units preferred

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing and able to float to:
  • Medical-Surgical units
  • Telemetry units
  • Forensic units
  • Other inpatient care areas as needed
• Strong adaptability in high-acuity and structured security environments
• Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
