RN – CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced CVICU RN with strong Cardiac and Neuro ICU experience to provide critical care in a mixed ICU setting within a Teaching Acute Care Hospital. The RN will manage high-acuity cardiac and neurological patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care nursing for cardiac and neuro ICU patients
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and respond to emergencies
• Utilize advanced ICU equipment and maintain accurate patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for patient care planning
• Float within scope to support additional facilities when required

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 months ICU experience required (2 years preferred)
• Must have Cardiac and Neuro ICU experience
• Active RN License required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required at submission
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• Epic experience required (Level 3 or 4 proficiency)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pending licenses not accepted

Schedule & Additional Information:

• Start Date: Next available orientation date (3–4 weeks out)
• Floating required to Martin North, South, and Tradition facilities within 20 miles
• Block scheduling not available
• Locals accepted at same rate
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts / 40 hours for 8-10 hour shifts
