Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a busy, full-service Nuclear Medicine department within a large hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical experience, independence, and the ability to manage a steady patient load in a high-volume environment.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Guaranteed 40 hours/week
- Weekend shifts: Not required (optional pickup available)
- On-call: Not required
- Block scheduling: Not available
Patient Load / Ratios
- Approximately 1:5 (busy unit)
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine
- Prior large hospital experience required
- First-time candidates not accepted
Certifications Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
- Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NM)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team in a high-volume setting
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and hospital policies

- Fast-paced, high-volume environment (“busy unit”)
- Floating within scope: Not applicable
- RTO restrictions: Limited to 1 holiday
- Locals: Not accepted (must be outside 100-mile radius)
